Aton Kamanda
Biography
Aton is a machine learning research developer at LawZero. After completing his master's degree in AI at the Université de Montréal and beginning PhD studies in LLM alignment, he transitioned to industry to tackle real-world challenges. His professional experience spans the development of video understanding systems for incident detection at a Mila-incubated startup and the creation of LLM agents for machine translation in the corporate sector. In these roles he has gained extensive experience translating state-of-the-art research into practical, high-performance solutions, successfully navigating the challenges of transforming research papers into production-ready models.
