Biography
Minsu Kim is a CIFAR AI Safety Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr. Yoshua Bengio at Mila and Dr. Sungjin Ahn and Dr. Sungsoo Ahn at KAIST. His research focuses on integrating combinatorial search methods with probabilistic deep learning for System 2 reasoning, with applications in drug discovery and trustworthy reasoning of language models. Specifically, he has developed several foundational search and exploration methods for Generative Flow Networks (GFlowNets) in collaboration with Dr. Yoshua Bengio, Dr. Nikolay Malkin, Dr. Emmanuel Bengio, and others. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from KAIST, where his Ph.D. dissertation was awarded the Presidential Best Dissertation Award.
